2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
750ml bottle (One Pint Pub, Helsinki)
Messy wheaty aroma, hint of metallic tinned tomatoes. Wheetabixy taste, but quite weak. Watery palate, some crisp carbonation. Pale straw, clear or hazy, as you chose to pour. Slightly messy, watery minerally, bready taste. Nice whole flower hops, but they can’t save a messy beer. With a bit oof the crap added, it’s a bit breadier, and less messy, so do pour it cloudy.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is in the weissbier style, wheaty, bready aroma. Copper/red appearance. White head that doesn’t last long. Light body. A beer for when you’re thirsty.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Très fromagée, levurée avec une pointe de citron. Je m’attendais à un peu plus rafraîchissant mais quand même surpris par l’étoffe des céréales.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Brum. Hazy orange gold colour with lasting white head. Estery yeasty aroma with some tangerine. That’s a bit of a surprise. Quite Belgian in character but the fruit, the orange, Satsuma segment flavour is very good. Quite hoppy on the finish too. It’s a good beer and I do like Thiriez. A wheat Ale? hmmmm. OK maybe. Good fruit on the swallow and finish. Excellent.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dusted orange with a slim white collar retreating to the edges of the glass. Nose of sesame, honey, coriander-like perfume, shrub and green herb. Slight, perfumed flavour with more herb and sesame; a saline note, honey and watery lime in the finish. Flimsy but pleasant.
