Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark reddish/brown with a medium head. Quite a lot of oak and berries in this one. Not that sour. Very easy to drink, it reminded a bit of juice. Not that much carbonation.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Fruity and sour smell with a note of earth cellar. Similar taset. Great acid and fruitiness. Very nice!

Bottle. Almost opaque, deep brown/bit red liquid with medium to big, light brown head. Aroma of creamy lacto, raisins, bit apples, some caramel and biscuit, very light vinegar and oak. Nice. Taste is quite dry, low to medium sour and very light bitter. Notes of chocolate, raisins, caramel and toast. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Some light vanilla also. Nice stuff.

Aroma: Funky sweet, almost perfume, wood, sour fruits.
Appearance: A brown dusky brew with a small off-white head, leaving some lacing and having good curtains.
Taste: Some sweet old fruits, stable nuances, balsamic vinegar.
Palate: Medium carbonation, small foamy bubbles, fresh and lively texture, a sour dry finish.
Overall: A sour complex one, possibly a bit short in the bite, and a (1) off-putting sweetish nuance in the smell.
Note: Bottle, sampled at Allt-Om-Öl-festivalen, Eskilstuna. Complementing review (another bottle!) 2012-09-12. Reviewed 2012-06-16.

From bottle in April 2008. This really took me by surprise. Right up there with anything made in Belgium in this category. Beautiful very dark brown colour with a generous and lasting light tan head. Vinous and woody on the nose with plummy fruit and raisins. More of the same on the palate. The sourness is well tempered by the rich figgy fruit. A stunner.

pilsnerrogge (2830) - Finspĺng, SWEDEN - AUG 31, 2012
Bottle #377 (6.5% abv)
Pours a dark, reddish brown colour with a thick head. Aroma is dark berries, cherries, red wine and wine gums. Body is a bit on the thin side. Flavour is slightly roasted and has notes of red wine, tart cherries and wood. The flavour really improves as the beer gets warmer.
