Nik925 (52), California, USA Jul 2, 2008 great malt weird but balanced hop. A little thick. A little conservative, I worry that these San Frans are trying to play for to big of an audience. (Thats why I drive to Santa Rosa for good beer) GJF (195), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Apr 27, 2008 On tap at the brewhouse. One of their better beers I thought. It’s a straightfoward IPA but nothing too adventurous. Nice balance, but a little thin on flavors and body. rmussman (687), California, USA Apr 11, 2008 Sampled at the brew house. Has a very hoppy scent to it with dark orange/brown hues, with minimal head. Flavor is not as hoppy as the aroma leads it to be. Very drinkable but not the greatest IPA. BillKismet (1356), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 26, 2008 Was told the recipe changed due to the hop shortage. Light bronze with decent head color. Nice hop aroma, perhaps amarillo, as their is a citrus note. Decent hop flavor without any harsh bitterness. Mild malt backbone. A solid, if unmemorable IPA. Ethereal (724), London, Greater London, England Mar 8, 2008 Pint at the Thirsty Bear in San Francisco, 19th Feb 2008. Dark amber appearance and leaves a ton of lacing on the glass. Characteristic cascade hop nose and similar taste - fierce hoppiness but a bland flavour.
