COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A deep, sable color full of roasted and black malts distinguish this silky smooth dry, Irish style stout. This beer is served with a unique blend of nitrogen and carbon dioxide gases, which gives it a smoother, more flavorful palette and a rich, creamy head without the strong bite of a highly carbonated beer.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt combined with light notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of roasted malt and chocolate.

Cloudy dark black with a thin creamy head. Aroma is roasty coffee, chocolate, nuts. Full body. In mouth it’s chocolate and malt. Aftertaste is kinda vanilla. Well done.

On nitro tap at the brewpub Pours with a black body and a lasting tan head. Aroma of coffee, light smoke, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is coffee, roast, bready, toffee. Lively bubbles and, like a few of their other beers, a slightly acidic finish that makes me suspect dirty tap lines.

On tap at brewery. Opaque, dark brown with tan head which held. Chocolate and coffe malts well balanced with hop on the finish. Significant molasses flavour. Smooth on the palate. Thouroughly enjoyable stout.

Deep black pour. The nose is full of molasses and cocoa. Light chocolatey character with a touch of acidity and a bit of light roast. Simple brew but a well-constructed dry stout.

On tap at the Thirsty Bear. Pours a pure black color with a huge brown head, looks nice. A nose of sweet and dry coffee, roasted malts. The flavor is heavy toasted malts, coffee, milky chocolates. Sweet and very drinkable. Nice.

Sampled at Thirsty Bear. Rich roasted-toasted grain aroma, with chocolate and regrettably some soy sauce. Light neutral hop character, mild smoke and coffee. Dark black-brown clear with thin rocky tan head. Medium body, mildly oily, with some mild-medium carbonation. Starts with bitter roasted grain, almost burnt, with light coffee grounds bitterness, a touch of smoky quality, and light bitter hops. Smooth nutty bitter after, light molasses. Salty, too, at the finish - seems to be a theme here ... maybe softened water? Nutty coffee after with a bit of tang.

Part of a tasting tray sampler at the brewpub. Dark mahogany with a dense mocha head. Roasty coffee and bitter chocolate aroma and flavours, hints of cherry fruit. Dry bitter end. Probably my favourite of the bunch.
