COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A deep, sable color full of roasted and black malts distinguish this silky smooth dry, Irish style stout. This beer is served with a unique blend of nitrogen and carbon dioxide gases, which gives it a smoother, more flavorful palette and a rich, creamy head without the strong bite of a highly carbonated beer.

Great looking deep sasparilla color with firm chocolate head. Wonderful medley of deep chocolate and dark chocolate notes in flavor and aroma. Roast is stronger in aroma than in flavor. Very creamy and definitely nitrogenated.

Tap at the brewpub: A tan bubbly head tops a deep brown with ruby at the edges. Mild roast in the aroma with cocoa flakes. Thin yet rounded feel. The flavor has a nutty roast to it but there’s apparent diacetyl. The roasted finish is mainly composed of medium huskiness. Eh.

I had this on draft at the Thirsty Bear brewpub. hmm, an Irish Stout w/ a Russian name... I thought it was thin and a bit weak.

On tap, brewpub. Pitch black, medium nitro tan head. Strong roasted barley aroma - sweet as well. Medium watery mouthfeel. Very sweet taste, I thought this was easily a sweet stout all the way. Lots of roast as well. Apart from the watery aspect, this stout seemed somehow unique and pretty good.

A great Irish Dry stout in the Guinness tradition. Roasted malt nose, a bit sweet in the middle, but a good dry bitter finish. Smooth and rich, a must try for stout lovers. Ranks high on my stout master list.

02.18.05 Black with thick brown head. Earthy, which was great, chocolate, roasty aromas betray bitterness. A touch sour, creamy (nitro). Reminds in some ways of Lancaster. Nitro sucks. Could be more bitter.

Coffe note in the nose, opaque black, creamy frothy head. Sweet for a brief second at the beginning--like dark chocolate. Then turning to a burnt charcoal taste. Creamy texture. Maybe too roasted, but fun anyway.

Tap. Black with a big brown head. Roasted malt aroma. Good body with a great aftertaste.

On tap @ Thirsty Bear. Best of the tasting. Thick, creamy, almost velvet-like texture on the tongue. Black with cola-colored edges and milky latte-like head. Flavor is rich chocolate and roasted malt. Not overly complex but tasty.

Cask at the new pub, dry hopped with Centennial. Pour black with a thick dark tan head. Big citrus nose with hints of chocolate and roasted grain. Medium malt body with lots chocolate, roasted grain and citrus hops in the taste. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
