2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle thanks to MrBunn. Pours a semi dark reddish brown, with a good clingy head.Strong aromas of caramel malt, spice, and a touch of soap. Heavy flavor of nutmeg, caramel, and a bit of honey. Drinks pretty smooth, with a light alcohol background. Carries a funky bitter aftertaste with a note of corn.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear deep copper with minimal off-khaki head. Nose is heavy nutmeg, caramel malt, brown sugar, cinnamon. Tastes malty, with hefty Christmas spice, and some nutty notes. Not terribly complex, but passable as a holiday libation.

clear copper color, quickly disappearing head, some lace. nose of spice, gingerbread, sweet to a fault. flavor of caramel, all the spices of the nose, a strong gingerbread taste, followed by an odd bitterness. medium bodied, strange bitter finish. unpleasant bitter finish makes this a rather odd brew. not again. thanks to cornfield for the bottle.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz via trade a bit back. Pour orange with a tan ring. Nose is sweet with too much nutmeg. Taste is a mish mash of spices. Not for me.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap @ Barcade. Poured a clear ruby-amber color with a beige head. Huge ginger and cinnamon aroma. Too much for me. Cinnamon taste with toasted malt. Very long very dry finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz - Dark clear orange, thin off white head. Soft honey cinnamon aromas ride light undertones of gingerbread florals. Spicy cinnamon and gingery nutmeg flavors balance on soft honeyed black pepper tones. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, spiced finish. Quite the spiced Christmas brew, but I thought it was nicely done...

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pleasant aroma, some dissipitating white cloudy head on cloudy yellow body.Mouthfeel is a tad above average, although tingling from carbonation though it was not apparent or obtrusive. Honey and some spices, nothing too much. Spice and lagerish taste really.Pleasant.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Barcade. Deep amber beer with a thin tan head. Aroma is loaded with rich spiciness. Loads of cinnamon, clove and ginger over a sweet toffeeish richness. Not a lot of subtlety in this one although I could see the appeal. Flavour is very spice flavoured. Ginger and cinnamon are the most obvious over a lightly toasty maltiness. A bit of sweet crystal malt and a lingering caramelly maltiness, but these are completely clobbered by the spices. It’s quite boozy and hot though. While I can see some of the appeal here, I can’t help but think it would have been better at around 6% ABV.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks Corny for the sample...Pretty decent spiced holiday brew, cinnamon, et al. But I really did not find this overwhelming or over the top as most reviewers have pointed out. Nice carbonation, a bit bubbly, and very festive. One or two, though, and I’m moving on.

Draft. Pours a dark amber body with a tan head. Big spices, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Very spiced with the caramel malts taking a back seat. Light alcohol warming well masked by the overbearing spices.
