2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle to a glass mug. Pours an amber color. Obviously, on the nose there are notes of cinnamon, and cloves, or whatever was used during brewing. I canít say I really detected the honey, but it was a decent Christmas brew. Iíll save it for my mom and sister.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Moderate sweet malts, mild but noticeable spiciness, some bready notes, and low bitterness. A pretty straightforward "Christmas" ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Six pack of 12 oz. bottles from Payless Liquors in Greenwood, IN. Pours a fizzy amber/brown body with a sizeable off-white head with good retention. Nose of spices and malts. The flavor is spot-on with the aroma: cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, allspice, some soapy horse-blanket yeast up front. Medium body and medium carbonation. Enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle, poured into a shaker pint at approximately 45 degrees F.
A: Pours a clear copper color, almost exactly the hue of a penny thatís been handled for 3-4 years. Forms a pale white head, which fades swiftly into a patchy cap with ring. So many bubbles stream nonstop from the bottom of the glass - itís not unlike hipsters heading for a record store on Free Vinyl Day.
S: Spice dominates the aroma, cinnamon, ginger, and allspice, blending with the underlying sweetness to smell something akin to a gingersnap cookie with a snickerdoodle dusting.
T: As with the scent, spice also dominates the taste profile. Cinnamon, ginger, and allspice grab hold of the tastebuds, and they donít relinquish that hold anywhere in the tasting process. Thereís a sweet caramel malt backbone underlying the spices, though the spice is clearly the star. As it warms, some other spices join in the chorus, ranging from cloves to a white pepper. Overall, however, this is a liquid ginger snap with cinnamon, and not much in the way of bitter or dryness. The finish does leave a lingering leafy sort of bitterness, though that is the only vaguely hoppy flavor I can identify.
M: Light in body and sharply carbonated, this goes down quickly and effortlessly. Itís not a thick, warming brew.
O: Not a bad winter warmer, well spiced and refreshingly lacking in the hop arena. Just malt and spices, with some slight bitterness to the aftertaste. I am a fan.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Received in trade from a non-RB member. The pour is a standard looking amber tone with a standard looking off-white head. But then the aroma really jumps out at me with is ginger and Rosemary characteristics. Toasted malts too. The body is medium. The taste has the same herbal quality as the aroma with a decent malt note and a thin finish. But I enjoyed it altogether.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The 12 Dogs of Christmas pours a fairly clear rusty amber with a small beige head that doesnít last long. the aroma is overflowing with various spices. I can pick up cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger to go with caramel and bread. The flavor is caramel initially with ginger and nutmeg also present and cinnamon shines in the end. Overall this is a decent brew.

bottle. Brown with small head. Sweet with lots of holiday spicing -- perhaps a bit too much. A little syrupy and overdone.

bottle - This dark brew has a lingering off-white head and an aroma of caramel and dark fruit. It tastes of sweet caramel malt and spices with a roasted finish and a little chocolate. Itís full bodied and pretty good.
