12oz bottle-pours a big rocky off white head and gold color. Aroma is light/medium fruit (infected/diactyl?), malt. Taste is light/medium fruit (infected). If infected, would like to try it again.

Bottle. Golden color with medium white head. Aroma matchs the roasted malt style. Medium flavor of malt with a medium body with short finish. Not nearly as strong as resident state leader Eliot Ness.

hopscotch (9065) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 10, 2004
Crystal clear, golden lager with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention and good, cumulus lacing. The nose is sweet and malty with notes of toffee and caramel. The flavor is sweet caramel, toffee and corn. Medium-bodied and creamy with mild carbonation. Lengthy, sweet finish. Overall, it’s cloyingly sweet. Not really my thing.

Bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a fizzy head. Bitter, grainy aroma. Grain and caramel taste. Medium bodied. Not bad.

Great beer. Nose of apples, snappy biscuit and pear hops, wheat, corn cob and stewed peaches. Thick, hoppy and sweet, then it turns just the slightest bit sour (yeast?), before finishing as a gooey old apple and pear thing. Great stuff.

This one had a strange mouthfeel to me, hard to describe but I had trouble getting it past my tongue (?). Honey colored with an amber hue. Very syrupy malty flavor.

Jesus Jumpinz, is this one underrated or what?!! Deep gold/straw pour with medium, white head. Aroma of big honey, corn flakes, hopcit, apricot. Tastes very honeyish, with emerging apricot, hopcit, and karo syrup as it warms. A great golden lager. In fact, one of my top 10 golden lagers of all time.

Bottle. Caramelized malt aroma. Yellow-amber color with small head. Caramelized malt flavor with a light hops finish. Nice drinkable beer.
