Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, fully diminishing. Body is dark yellow to light amber. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain), trace hops (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Dull.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2006 The aroma isn’t "delicate" as advertised, it’s a strong, sweet caramel with some hot buttered toast - a bit overbearing, actually. Nice look, a clear bronze with heavy beading and a a frothy white head. The taste is tamer than the nose, crispy toast with with a daub of caramel. The caramel returns too strongly in the finish, causing my teeth to ache.

Braudog (5026) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - JAN 27, 2007
This pours with a light orange color, more than "golden", nicely active and with just the barest remnants of a white head. There’s a light bready aroma. I like the texture ... pleasantly carbonated. Wow, this is yeastier than I’d expected almost like underbaked bread. Lightly caramelled, almost citric. Nice flavors. Nice beer. (#2666, 1/27/07)

Dark gold body with a thin slightly off white head. The aroa had some light apple cider with some notes of old hay. The taste had some peanuts with a little bit of green beans. There is also some slight paper in the finish. An ok bee,r but a little too sweet for me.

thedm (4773) - Fort Wayne, USA - SEP 7, 2003
This brew poured a small head of bubbles that left behind a fiar lacing and transparent brown colored uncarbonated body. Its mouthfeel was hoppy and acidic and it had a very mild undiscernable aroma. The flavor was mild malted slightly hoppy and dialectyl.

Bottle. Golden body with a small white head. Nose is malty and sweet with soft meon notes and caramel. Taste is malty and sweet as well with a bit of citrus and lightly spiced hops. Body is light-medium with mild carbonation. Finishes with more citrus notes, sweet malts and caramel.

EithCubes (4198) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 28, 2006
Bottle. Rich caramel and toffee nose with light fruitiness. Mostly malt with a little chalky/cellary component, slightly toasty. Golden-bodied with a slight orange tint and creamy beige head. Taste restrains the toast a bit and allows the fruitiness to come to the fore. No bitterness, mild-medium sweetness. Thin body, even watery. Again, mostly malty, with caramel leading the way, and a hint of butter, light herbs and veggie and even a splash of honey. Good one.

GABF 05. Pours a rich gold with a sweet malt aroma. Flavor is sweet malt, with hints of caramel hiding in the background. Velvety palate. Good stuff.

Dry malty, buttery, sandalwood aroma. Homebrewy at times and unusual. Hazy light tea color. Diacetyls - butter, caramel. Easy drinking. Some cereal and straw, sweet on the lips. Mouthy.
