3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled Version: Head pours white but it doesn't last; Golden amber body is crystal clear. The smell of caramel and melanoidin malt dominate as well as a little toasty aroma. The melanoidins give the impression of being a little raisiny, but clean and non fruity otherwise as well as no hops in the nose. Malty sweetness and toast malt flavors at the start, slight melanoidin malt not as dominant as in flavor. Well balanced with a malty finish. Hops seem only to balance and are not really present anywhere but to bitter. Carbonation is moderate and body is medium for this very drinkable session lager.

People are smoking too much crack with this one which is one of the best golden lagers I’ve sampled. The hoppiness was at a good level but I recognized its golden malty qualities. I had this on tap at Cooper’s and can see how it might not make such a good bottled beer but I found it quite tasty.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 8, 2008 This was real good, very different flavor than a lot of other ones, you can really taste the sweets in it, but was a little too thin , one to get once in a while by itself.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A brew with clear high and low points. Highs? The lovely appearance, with a nice medium copper color and off white head. The aroma, with a nice sweetness and some alcohol notes. Lows? The flavor, sadly. It’s thin and lacks much depth. A bit of malt and caramel sweetness, but it can’t live up to the aroma...not even close, really.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Unusual color, golden-brown, cloudy with a big white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is wheat, honey, clove, lager hops. Tastes of coriander, wheat, alcohol and tart/tannic hops. Refreshing actually. Very tart and really unusual representation of the style. Purchased this 12 oz. bottle at World Market in Vienna, VA.

Very sweet, thick bodied, lightly bitter, cloudy yellow, hints of honeysuckle, other flowers, a sticky-watery lingering finish with notes of sweet malt, herbs, and golden delicious apples,

Bottle. Somewhat malty sweet, drinkable, finishes clean. Not a lot happening but not offensive.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle Pours a hazy amber with an off white head. The head leaves quickly. Lacing is okay. Aroma is malty. Mostly caramel and grass. Has an okay cabonation. The mouthfeel is alright. Theflavor is spicy grass. Which really works for tis beer. Has a good malty endiing. Has a medium body. A thickier texture. The finish is good with a good aftertaste. Not a bad beer from a brewer who makes good beer.

(Brewed and bottled by Frederick Brewing) (Best by May 2005) Very sweet and boring. Not even a quaffer. Could be better if it were drier.
