3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at Winking Lizard. The beer is a clear golden-orange color with a thin off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt and caramel plus a touch of hops. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, mild hops and a touch of yeast. The finish is short and sweet with a malty aftertaste. Pretty straightforward Oktoberfest beer overall.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
With fall coming, on tap at buckeye beer engine, it’s a nice amber color with a super malty bready presence.. Not bad but not my favorite definitely needs to be colder to enjoy

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
bottle - Pours clear orange with a one finger head. It has a mild toasted caramel malt aroma. The flavor is just sweet, lightly toasted caramel malt, maybe a little bready taste, and not much else. It’s decent for what it is, but I was a bit underwhelmed.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured a clear amber in color with a big off-white head. Malty aroma that is very clean with some crisp hops. Sweet caramel malt flavor with a crisp and dry finish.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A nice 1 inch thick head of fine bubbles. Smoked malts and roasted grains in the aroma. Color is a brownish orange. Interesting flavor. Lots of smoky notes and roasted grains. Much smokier than expected. Soft bready malts give a bit of body to this brew. No hops or alcohol to speak of. A ok brew but nothing that I would seek out again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep orange-amber into the glass with a lightly retentive head that leaves sudsy lace. The nose is of yeast, dough, basement, malt and country silage. Flavors are malty with some tiny effervescent grain to the finish. The mouthfeel is thinner, but it is smooth on the palate and makes for a good session brew. All around, not the most substantially complex body, granted, but definitely not a bad take on the Märzen.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
From bottle. Ugh, yuck. Way too sweet and fake for me to even finish. Ended up being a drain pour.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle. This is my first Thirsty Dog. First time I’ve seen it at Greens. Light brown with a hint of copper and almost no head. Not much in the aroma but what is there is very sweet. Flavor is too sweet - a bit of malts and a bit of hops but not that good - very processed. Not impressed by my first taste of this brewery.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark amber, with a nose of caramel and malt. Flavor is similar, though a bit sweeter than the nose would indicate. While the flavors are good, they don’t linger long on the palate and the mouthfeel is a bit too thin. Otherwise, a worthwhile Oktoberfest.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light to medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration. My expectations where not met.
