Copper color with creamy head that stood up well, with nice lacing. Crisp aroma though not real strong. Really tasty October fest.

The pour is surprisingly cloudy. Roasted malt and a hint of orange in the aroma. Very tasty! Full body, a lot of butterscotch followed by a touch of citrus sweetness. Hops provide a dry and slightly bitter finish. Really yummy. Immediately one of my favorite Oktoberfests

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours cloudy orange amber color with a small white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of pear, apple, caramel, toast, biscuit, herbal, and light nuttiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, brown sugar, apple, pear, and herbal. Lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, brown sugar, herbal, and light fruits on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice flavor robustness and balance; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and lightly slick mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with almost zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Oktoberfest! Great flavor balance and robustness; and very smooth to drink. Really enjoyed this one, definitely exceeded my expectations.

Clear medium amber pour with a red hue. Very nice head and lacing that lingers. Very slight nose of sweet caramel malt. Light medium body and well carbonated. The flavor profile is laid back, as a marzen should be. It has a very nice balance of caramel malt sweetness and flavor with just a hint of hop bitterness. The carbonation yields a crisp finish identical to the flavor profile. Thirsty Dog is becoming one of my favorite breweries. Another outstanding offering that is true to style.

12 ounce bottle. Aroma us a sweet caramel with a hint of molasses. Deep malt character that is well balanced with a tiny hint of spice in the back end. Palate is fairly thick, a really good American oktoberfest.

On tap at the Winking Lizard Crosswoods location. Clear amber in color with a big off-white head. Malty aroma that is very clean with some crisp hops. Bready and caramelly malt flavor with a crisp and dry finish.

Pours a clean copper amber with a one finger dirty white head. Nose is sweet and malty, caramel, toasted malt, leafy hops, mild spicy phenol. Flavor has a nice sweet malt character, mild toasted grain with caramel undertones, spicy hop bite lingers against the bready backdrop. Palate is dry and nicely bittered with a nice residual sweetness.

Bottle. Pours a deep coppery amber with a little bit of a head and that lovely Oktoberfest combo of aromas: grainy malt, honey, dough, apple juice, nuts... as a self-confessed hophead, I’m not sure why I find this style so charming. First sip reveals a very sugary and nutty take on the style. There is a ton of caramel and maple syrup with pronounced nutty edge to it. Very nice as it just skirts the border between cloying and good...
