COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took our award winning Siberian Night Russian Imperial Stout and aged it for 11 months in fresh bourbon barrels. The result blew us away. The dark chocolate malt yields a milk chocolate flavor that blends perfectly with the vanilla flavor from the barrel. The bourbon aroma adds the finishing touch.

This one poured a very dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma was big bourbon, fudge, light smoke, and vanilla. Flavor is similar, but not as big on the bourbon, very well rounded combo of a great impy and ba qualities . Not closing at all and even at 11% i could easily have a few of these.

Bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop. Why in the world did I pay $7.99 for 12oz? An impulsive moment for me, and in retrospect a stupid one. This beer is good but far from great. Black pour, sort of flat. Nose is lots of vanilla, slightly sour oak notes, hints of chocolate. Lots more sweet chocolate, syrupy sweet, and a bit of chocolate bitterness on the finish. Far from worth the cost.

A very good taste at first but as it warmed up, too much of a bourbon taste for me.

Dark brown, light mouthfeel, delicate bourbon nose. Aroma is full and glorious, reminiscent of a far better refined BA RIS. Roasty, chestnuts, bourbon, smooth malts. Good, not great.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a black color with an off white head. Vanilla, oak, bourbon, dark fruits, and caramel. Alcohol content well hidden. Nice.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Opaque pour with a slight brown head that mostly disappeared. Dark chocolate. Deep red fruit. Nice bit of ash and smoke. Big juicy Imperial. Vanilla bourbon. Sulfured figs and dates. Charcoal grill. Burnt marshmallow. Tootsie Rolls. Boozy. Bourbon barrel enriches the flavors. Like it quite a lot.

12 oz bottle, thanks Ryan. Virtually jet black; very minimal almost-fizzy dark brown head dissipates into pure nothing. Chocolate, caramel; light vanilla and oak. surprisingly little bourbon here which is a bit disappointing; basically no coffee or roast, thank god. Medium-thick, velvety body, medium stickiness. Nothing wrong with this, but darn I was hoping for more bourbon. The BA wee heavy was utterly loaded with bourbon flavor and I got very little from this one. Maybe it was a lesser batch? Very good but not breathtaking.

Bottle thanks to artmcd8. Poured black with minimal tan head. Strong aromas of bourbon vanilla booze. Quite smooth bourbon choc taste. Surprising good.

Pours black like a proper RIS. Definitely bourbon in the aroma. Tastes has a little heat but there is still the sweetness of the bourbon exists. Very solid but missing some complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black color with small diminishing light brown head and light lacing. Aroma has strong bourbon presence that’s seriously intense. Flavor has sour punch in the front that fades to reveal the typical Siberian flavor of deep roastyness and cocoa notes and a light bitter finish. This might get better in time, just doesn’t seem balanced right now with the bourbon flavor.
