3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Deep hazy golden with small head. Tart with some light fruit. Like a sour orange. Seems a bit heavy for the style. Decent, but Iíve had much better examples.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at pony with Brendan and Andrew. Pours a murky hazy amber with thin white lacing. Aroma is soft sourdough and lemon. The mouthfeel reveals much more sour fruit, salt and a nice bright tart lemon character. Light wheat as well. Really, really solid Berliner.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Khyber Pass. Tulip. Poured a cloudy orange with no head. Solid full flavored Berlinerweiss. Lots of orange/tangerine/lemon peels. Nice strong sour without too much funk. Not complicated but better than other recent American adventures into the style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler... Mostly clear deep-golden ale with a small, tight, white head. The nose is bready, moderately acidic, woody and leathery. Light-bodied and raspy with tickling carbonation. The flavor is tart and tangy with a whisper of bitterness. No sweetness here, even as it hits room temperature. Finishes tart and Mojave-dry. Solid. Growler courtesy of Elliesrown!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2010 Sample at Jackie Oís as part of Ohio Brew Week. Pours a clear orange-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that burns away steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Tart fruity aroma with some malt behind it. Medium body with a slightly sour fruit character and flavors of sweet malt and caramel, plus a touch of bubblegum. The finish is fruity with a mild yeast aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
