This beer is made with one grain and 4 Belgian yeasts, a deceptive golden color, and a malty palate lend complexity to this Belgian Trippel Ale. ABV = 10%, IBUís = 31, OG = 23.1 P

The three headed Hellhound of Greek Mythology, that stood at the gates to Hades, lends his name and three heads to this elegant, full bodied Belgian Style Trippel Ale. A deceptive golden color and wonderful malty palate bring bold complexity to this big brew.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus, marmalade and a slightly herbal spiciness. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, apricots, pineapple and a spicy bitterness in a slightly vinous finish with a certain alcohol bite. More than medium body, fairly sweet and with a bit flat mouthfeel. Nice and tasty.

quite a clever name - a tripel from thirsty dog, ergo the tree-headed dog cerberus. pours out a nice golden tan with minimal carbonation and foam, and a spicy spritzy citrus aroma. hoppier than i expect from a tripel, with less estery and fruity notes than i expect, but itís an interesting take certainly. definitely more pale malt and more hops than a classic tripel, so really itís only the slightly "americanized" yeast that makes this a tripel at all. very nice, sweet finish but not a beer i would drink regularly.

bottle from mix pack. cloudy lifeless gold with a small, fizzy white head that diminishes quickly. nose is strong red apple and pineapple. a lot of alcohol heat in this one. flavor of red apples, caramel, butter and alcohol. not their best offering.

Bottle courtesy of WhyBeNormal in a BIF a ways back. Served in a snifter. Pours a slightly-hazed golden-orange color with a thin white head and a bunch of spotty lacing. Thin collar throughout. The nose brings some light bread and sweetness plus some light clove and bubblegum. Light earthiness comes along with that in the flavor and the clove stands out along with a bit of bready sweetness. Medium body with average carbonation and a touch of sweetness in the finish. Not bad, though probably not something Iíd seek out again. Serving type: bottle

Peach and banana nose with more of the former. Cloudy amber, floaties, thin head. Alcohol extremely evident. Peach and overripe lemon on the front, grass and lemon zest on the back, sweet then bitter. Full body. Fairly standard tripel, but too boozy.

Donít get to drink Thirsty Dog beers on a regular basis so I was looking forward to trying Cerberus. Belgian Tripel strong fruit nose, banana bread yeastiness and an obvious high gravity sweet maltiness. This beer actually broke me out in a sweat. Crisp and spiced flavors gave Cerberus a nice twang, For me Cerberus just didnít come together as a well defined Belgian Tripel.

bottle... murky gold, bright white head... really nice nose of honey with flowers, a little yeast, a sweeter tripel but solid... the taste is also very sweet, the yeast comes out a lot more than the nose but does hinder it, very drinkable but wish there was a bit more balance... solid especially with how well the alcohol is hidden
