COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is made with one grain and 4 Belgian yeasts, a deceptive golden color, and a malty palate lend complexity to this Belgian Trippel Ale. ABV = 10%, IBU’s = 31, OG = 23.1 P

The three headed Hellhound of Greek Mythology, that stood at the gates to Hades, lends his name and three heads to this elegant, full bodied Belgian Style Trippel Ale. A deceptive golden color and wonderful malty palate bring bold complexity to this big brew.

Poured from bottle into Belgium tulip with a hazy golden amber colour and minimal head. Aroma was slightly fruity with typical belgian flair. Rich caramel and heavy fruit flavor with dry finish.

Bottle from the brewery in Akron, OH. Drank at home in a chalice. Pours a very hazy orange-brown with not much head. Aroma is raisins, dates, apricots, mango, Belgian yeasts, biscuit, and butterscotch candy. The taste is mostly fruity and then transitions into the Belgian yeasts and spices that coat the tongue. The sweetness makes almost a doughnut sensation. Fruits and spices linger. Medium full body, dry finish.

Poured a orange brown color with minimal head. Aroma is pretty nice with lots of complexity. Dark fruits, raisin, cherry, honey, caramel. Taste is Belgium yeast, spice, dark fruits. Medium heavy body. Slight warming alcohol. Pleasantly surprised. Pretty good trippel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a golden yellow, a color like honey, with a very slight white head. Has a floral/herbal aroma along with traces of honey, yeast, and alcohol. Flavor is sweet honey, warming alcohol, and some floral notes. This is smooth and full-bodied and quite strong. Highly recommended.

Approximately 4 oz. pour from a 12 oz. bottle, provided by falco242. Consumed on 4-19-14. Pours a hazy tan-ish color with taupe head. Very juicy aroma features apple juice and apricot nectar scents. Very sweet taste features a caramel flavor. This is so sweet and juicy that it stretches the boundaries of an abbey tripel and reminds me of a paler version of an English-style barleywine.

Bottle courtesy of falco242. No real Belgian notes in the nose. Murky dark gold with particalia. Rich aroma with a hint of molasses. Quite sweet, with burnt caramel flavors. Sweetness is not Belgian candidate sugar. Very good. Unique take on the style almost an American take on it.

Rated on 5-02-2011 (Bottle) This beer has a small white head that fully diminshes, slightly hazy golden body, fizzy carbonation, floaties, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, fruity and citrus. The taste is sweet, malty, fruity, spicy, and some hops. The mouthfeel is mildly lively and this beer is medium bodied. This is a big sipping beer as the ABV comes through in the flavor and in a good way. There are better beers of this style, but this is still worth trying.

12 ounce bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big apricot, peach, pear, apple, orange peel, honey, candi sugar, bread, clove, light pepper, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big apricot, peach, pear, apple, orange peel, honey, bread, candi sugar, clove, herbal, floral, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of apricot, peach, pear, apple, orange, honey, bread, candi sugar, clove, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth and moderately slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent tripel style! All around great complexity and balance of fruity/earthy yeast ester and malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours cloudy orange with a small beige head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is sweet oranges, yeast, biscuit, floral notes, caramel. Flavor is the same, quite sweet, floral, bit of orange zest bitterness, some herbal notes, lingering bitter finish. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel.
