COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. You’ll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

Pale golden, not very carbonated. Smells kind of blah. Not picking up much citrus or pineapple. Mostly barley. Taste follows suit. Pleasant sweetness, but where are the hops? Maybe this was a little old. Wouldn’t have identified it as an IPA blind.

Good stuff. Aroma is citrus and hint of pineapple. Taste follows nose with light bitterness and pleasant sweetness. Good beer. Barely misses top 20%.

Drake (8503) - Free Union, Virginia, USA - AUG 26, 2014
12 ounce bottle from And Beer, Athens. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, tropical, spicy hops, pale malts, something a little bit dirty, but not too distracting. The taste is bitter citrus hops, some tropical and green hop notes, pale malts. Medium bodied, high carbonation, lingering bitterness.

Lukaduke (2144) - Portland, Maine, USA - AUG 23, 2014
Pours a hazy dull brown with a finger of eggshell foam. Nose is caramel malt, some peach and mango and a touch of stale grass and cardboard. Palate is abrasive with bitterness and lots of stale malty oxidized cardboard that falls into a overly bitter astringent finish. Meh.

Pours a clear dark orange with a white lacing. The aroma is notes of orange, faint tangerine and ever so slight pineapple. The finish is malt forward and the flavor is sweet, but not cloying. Fresh this would be interesting

BLADT (595) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 5, 2014
Bottle pour. Clean orange with pillowy white head. Loads of webbing. Grapefruit and milled grain aromas. Light tropic fruit. Medium to light body. Persistently bitter - though never aggressive - throughout. More tropical fruit, some resin. Nice finish. A good showing of citra hops. Solid.

Bottle. Dark gold pour, amber hues. Aroma of mango, passionfruit, orange rind, just nice citra. Fuck, way too much crystal-like sweetness in the flavor. Pine, mango, butterscotch. Some orange juice in the finish is pleasant.

Bottle from phaleslu. Pours a clear yellow/orange. Aroma is citrus-tangerine, orange. Solid beer. Nothing stands out a lot but its a good beer.

Bottle... Pours golden and clear with a thin, white head that’s gone in a flash. The aroma is totally hop-driven – big citrus rind and light, musky armpit. Full-bodied and abrasive with prickly carbonation. The flavor is totally in-your-face with heavy, tannic, rindy bitterness. Finishes coarse and bone-dry with lingering bitterness. A bit tongue-numbing. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!
