American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. You’ll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

Sampled at Pints for Pets. Really nice hoppy aroma on this. Grassy and resinous. Light golden clear with white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Nice hop flavor throughout, medium sweetness and light carbonic tang. Nice IPA, finishes smooth and well balanced with lingering hop bitterness.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark golden color with a large creamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish pine and catbox. The flavor was tangy and sweet bread, pine, resin and catbox. Long finish of pine, resin and catbox. Medium body. Ok.

Draft. Orange cloudy with a small white film. Nose is citrus but its very short lived and leads to a buttery overtone which unfortunately also takes over the flavor. Sad panda.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent orange with sticky off-white lacing. Smells and tastes good; Citra hops all the way. Nice on tbe palate too. A good example of the style.

Burnished gold color with a thin white head that left an attractive lace. Nose of citrus hops with hints of pine. Flavors of orange peel, apricot, and marmalade on toast. Some pine notes followed by a strong grapefruit rind finish. Nice ipa.

tap at buckeye, of course late to the party is thirsty dog, making a citra IPA, pretty good one though definitely above average, good carbonation good aroma just missing a touch of some balancing hop.. its all citra, but not enough "juice" to me

phaleslu (6281) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Draft at Lavomatic, served in a surprisingly small glass. Pours a clear gold color with a small white head that leaves some lace. Big citrus on the nose; grapefruit and orange, with some sweet malts. The flavor has bitter grapefruit peel, floral notes, pale malts, crackers, and herbs. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a bitter, crisp, dry mouthfeel. Solid IPA.

Capa (1969) - Manama, BAHRAIN - MAR 3, 2013
Slightly hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet citrus, sugary, fruit. Flavor is Sweet fruity, citrus, moderate herbal notes, some tropical fruits. Not overly bitter. Decent but by the time I had it I felt like it had already fallen off quite a bit.
