American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. You’ll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

Pours hazy oranged gold with a fat white head that fades to a bubbles rim and coating with dry lacing. Aroma is grassy grapefruit with a touch of sweetness. Taste is mostly citrus hops on a bed of mild malts. Notes of both sweet pineapple and grapefruit feed the hop bitterness. Nice citra showcase. Spicy, prickly mouthfeel. Very nice.

Cloudy golden color with white head. Malt aroma with grapefruit. Flavor is grapefruit zest with tangerine and mango fruitiness. Finishing with a bitter grapefruit flavor. A very zesty citrusy beer.

Semi hazy dull orange pour with ring of offwhite head. Damn I love me some citra, and this beer does a damn good job of profiling it. Tropical fruity citrus through and through. Mango, tangerine, finish with grapefruit. Pretty solid all the way around.

Pours golden and pale. Fairly clear. Aroma wasn’t very strong or hoppy, which I was expecting. Might have been an old bottle. Barley, wheat, and malts. Taste follows that and was also sweet, and not bitter or hoppy. Odd one here, would like to try fresh to know if it was just an old bottle or if it’s really this bad. Meh.

From a 12 oz bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a clear copper with an off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of grass and citrus. Bitter finish.

Pale golden, not very carbonated. Smells kind of blah. Not picking up much citrus or pineapple. Mostly barley. Taste follows suit. Pleasant sweetness, but where are the hops? Maybe this was a little old. Wouldn’t have identified it as an IPA blind.

Good stuff. Aroma is citrus and hint of pineapple. Taste follows nose with light bitterness and pleasant sweetness. Good beer. Barely misses top 20%.

12 ounce bottle from And Beer, Athens. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, tropical, spicy hops, pale malts, something a little bit dirty, but not too distracting. The taste is bitter citrus hops, some tropical and green hop notes, pale malts. Medium bodied, high carbonation, lingering bitterness.
