COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. You’ll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

Pours a clear golden color with a good head that fades quickly. The aroma is surprisingly weak, but pleasant with fresh green hops with grapefruit and orange notes. The taste is pleasant: a prominent but not dominant hop bitterness that is well balanced with the malt backbone. There are nice grapefruit notes (and orange, once it warms), but they aren’t as aggressive as I would have hoped given the name. Overall, a very solid summertime beer that I’ll get again, but there is nothing particularly unique about it. It’s a bit more pleasant than my ratings indicate, but I expected more from the promise of citra hops indicated in the title and dinged it a bit for that.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, smallish head, hazy lightish orange colour, aroma of guava and rose petals, with some yeastiness and a hint of malt in the back, flavour of orange marmalade, some citrus and bready malt with an empathic herbal bitterness. Nice and enjoyable just not too fresh.

Bottle from Connoisseur’s. Pours a mostly clear yellow with a white head. Nose is some mild caramel and nice citrus, orange, grapefruit, and some tropical fruit. Flavor is similar- not the burst of citra, but a nice suggestion and follow through of citra. Light to medium in body and nice overall.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks zvikar. Cloudy yellow-golden with an off-white head. Hoppy aroma, a bit stale, somewhat fruity. Crisp flavor of fruity hops with light stale notes, light bready maltiness and a pleasant bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Thanks to Greg for sharing a growler of this fine IPA for our "brothers hang". It tasted fresh, and it showcased the green, springlike qualities of the hops. I could go for some more of this.

bottle - Pours copper with a one finger head and some lacing. The aroma is of hops with ample citrus. The flavor has moderate to high bitterness with a good malt backbone. It’s medium bodied and pretty tasty, though not great.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2014 Pours a clear light amber with a massive head and lacing that retains very well. The nose is a blend of tropical citrus notes and grapefruit over a toasted malt background sweetness. Almost medium bodied with a slick texture approaching creamy. Slightly above average carbonation level with a bit of effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is a well balanced blend of citra hop flavor and bitterness over an underlying toasted malt sweetness. It begins with the citrus flavors, progresses to a citrus and grapefruit rind bitterness that is mellowed by a toasted sweetness. Quite nice. Nice smooth finish that leads as slightly sweet then flows into a nice citrus bitterness that lingers just the right amount along with a bit of tartness. This dog can hunt.

Poured from bottle. A cloudy tannish orange. Aroma of weeds and lemon. Upfront is somewhat citrus with a very dry middle. Back end is bitter grapefruit. Wish they would bottle date because this fresh is redonkulous. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured a bright golden color with a thin cap of white head that fell back to a ring. Aroma has solid hops, citrus, some tropics, and sweet malts. Mouth feel is average and there is good carbonation. Flavor again centers on the citra hops, perfume, citrus, grapefruit bitterness, and a dry finish.
