American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. You’ll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

Nice crisp bitter pine and grapefruit nose with a solid malt backbone noticeable in the aroma. Medium-bodied; Strong rich and fragrant hoppy notes dominate with some nice caramel malt and light sugars of lemon and passionfruit. Aftertaste shows a good blend of malt and hops with a lot of bitter resinous hops at the finish. Overall, a very nice IPA based with those citra hops that show off a lot of tropical fruit and resinous notes of sugars. I sampled this large pint (served in a mug) on cask at The Spotted Pig in New York, New York on 07-November-2014 for US$10,00.

bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Eastgate OH --- Hazy medium amber color, frothy 2" white head, pillows of lace. Aroma of orange malt. Taste begins with malt, adds orange on the swallow, then a strong grapefruit hop on the medium finish. A big, hoppy brew, assertive and satisfying.

Pours orange with a smooth head. Aroma of citrus, caramely malts, tangy grapefruits and grass. Taste is crisp, citrusy and sweetish with notes of grapefruit, grass and caramel. Finish is crisp, citrusy and hoppy with some sweet maltiness. Okay, a bit too sweet and malty.

Draught at fools Gold nyc. Pours with full sheet lace in a thick partially lasting head. Aroma is tropical fruit and soft white bread grain. Flavor is grapefruit juice and pith bitter with nice light malt balance. Feel is standout velvety and full. Not complex or especially noteworthy for anything but it is very well constructed.

Pours hazy oranged gold with a fat white head that fades to a bubbles rim and coating with dry lacing. Aroma is grassy grapefruit with a touch of sweetness. Taste is mostly citrus hops on a bed of mild malts. Notes of both sweet pineapple and grapefruit feed the hop bitterness. Nice citra showcase. Spicy, prickly mouthfeel. Very nice.

Semi hazy dull orange pour with ring of offwhite head. Damn I love me some citra, and this beer does a damn good job of profiling it. Tropical fruity citrus through and through. Mango, tangerine, finish with grapefruit. Pretty solid all the way around.

Pours golden and pale. Fairly clear. Aroma wasn’t very strong or hoppy, which I was expecting. Might have been an old bottle. Barley, wheat, and malts. Taste follows that and was also sweet, and not bitter or hoppy. Odd one here, would like to try fresh to know if it was just an old bottle or if it’s really this bad. Meh.
