American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. You’ll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

Bottle... Pours golden and clear with a thin, white head that’s gone in a flash. The aroma is totally hop-driven – big citrus rind and light, musky armpit. Full-bodied and abrasive with prickly carbonation. The flavor is totally in-your-face with heavy, tannic, rindy bitterness. Finishes coarse and bone-dry with lingering bitterness. A bit tongue-numbing. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!

Nice and crisp, hoppy and bitter without overdoing it. Grapefruit and a bit of earthiness underlying things. Punchy finish.

Bottle. Deep golden body with a frothy, white head. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, raw grain, raw hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Citrus and resin taste along with dusty, raw grain. Far from crisp and clean as many competing citrus IPAs are.

Poured a golden color with aromas of citrus, grapefruit, light pine and some malt. Flavors match the aromas thirst quenching citrus and light pine in the aftertaste. Solid IPA overall.

Draft at Rattle n Hum. Pours gold with a white head. Fruity hops, lighter dank piney notes, some sweet malts, and hints of tropical fruity mango-like notes. Relatively light bitterness, not bad.

Bottle: Pours a nice light orangish yellow with a big fluffy white head. Aromas are nice and fruity, citrusy and some honey. The taste is nice and fruity with a solid citrusy bitter bite to it. Refreshing on a nice hot day. This is good.

Draft. Yellow with a white head. Nice orange, lemon and tropical fruit aroma . Bitter citrus and tropical fruit flavors the end with a good dry bitterness. The complexity of the hop developed as it warmed up a little bit. Best IPA I’ve had from them.

At first this beer threatens to be too light with a thin head and modest aroma. Even the color and body indicate a beer that may fade but it doesn’t. It delivers a good hop taste with every sip throughout. The aftertaste can slide a bit skunky but then resolves into a light hop finish. I won’t be disappointed to see this on tap when I go somewhere, especially if there are no top notch IPAs there.
