COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. You’ll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

12 oz bottle from six-pack, Andersons, Columbus, OH. Hazy gold-orange, creamy white head, strong lacing. Aroma is a dead giveaway for the citra, and lots of it. Citrus, toast, pine, caramel. Verging on over-hopped but this has a solid malt backbone and body that do stand up well. I’m a big fan of Thirsty Dog and this is another above-average offering from them.

From the bottle this is a big nasty mess of bitter BS. Metallic aroma and it looks pretty voscous getting poored into the glass. Trribly on style and more like an impy beer. Lager lovers will find the flavor of this beer difficult to enjoy. If you like IPA, forget about my numbers. This is a rototilling piece of ground digging machinery all over the inside of your mouth, and it doesn’t go away anytime soon.

12oz bottle. Hazy golden-orange body, lots of slow rising carbonation bubbles withing. Creamy, patchy, glass-lacing head. A pretty nice new school IPA, lots of delicate citrus tones. Smooth, toasty, clean malt backbone. Pink grapefruit, tangerine, mango, orange...lots of flavor. Balanced, well executed, no shortage of hop flavor. Nice beer.

I expected so much more outta this beer. I love citra hops, but it wasn’t anything special. Just okay.

On tap at Triange Wine Co. Pours a clear gold with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is strong citrus hops with some pine in there as well. Taste is similar; fruity, citrus hops with a lasting bitterness. Quite crisp and refreshing for an IPA. Hard to believe this one is 95 IBUs. Medium body, less-than-average carbonation.

Draft pour clear golden. Nose clean pine, resin, citrus fruits. Nice aromatic hop nose. Taste grapefruit bite, resin, then sweet malt. Nice bitter finish.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but was released recently. Pours slightly hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of big orange zest, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon zest, tangerine, floral, grass, slight pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity of hop notes with a moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, pineapple, tangerine, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pineapple, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a moderate malt balance and minimal astringent bitterness present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a slightly creamy, crisp, and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good complexity of hop flavor with a moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Really nice IPA, well-balanced and delicious. The beer poured a bright and clear dark yellow color. The head was a bit off-white and left some nice lacing around the glass. The nose was bright and crisp, featuring a lot of spicy and dry hops, with some floral and yeasty notes. The body was really well-balanced, delicious and extremely easy-drinking. The pint was gone before I knew it! The flavors were crisp, spicy and dry, with plenty of hops, just enough malt for balance and some pine and grapefruit notes. The beer finished spicy and dry.

On draft at Isaacs on international IPA day. Big citrus aroma. Flavors of Tangerine, grapefruit, mango. Very tropical. The finish, a strong citrus.

Draft at Moriartys. Clear dark gold pour with a soft off-white foam. Looks nice. Strong citra hop flavors - floral and citrus - but balanced with some earthier hop flavors. More rounded than the one hop citra brews I have had. Grapefruit pith. Lime zest. Tangelo pips. Sage. Juniper. Parsley. Dry but has some light malty caramel notes. Finishes a bit harsh, but is very well constructed.
