3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle from six-pack, Andersons, Columbus, OH. Hazy gold-orange, creamy white head, strong lacing. Aroma is a dead giveaway for the citra, and lots of it. Citrus, toast, pine, caramel. Verging on over-hopped but this has a solid malt backbone and body that do stand up well. Iím a big fan of Thirsty Dog and this is another above-average offering from them.

couldnít find a date code, and i suspect this was an older bottle, because i am not getting any of those beautiful citrus notes youíd expect from citra. nice malt body, though.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap. Hazy golden color with a very thin white head. Aromas of citrus, clove and banana. Flavors are sweet lemon, orange peel, clove and banana. Black pepper and yeasty bready tones in the finish. Nice version of a Belgian wit.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Pours golden hued orange, with a fluffy white head. Aroma is fantastic orange, lemon, tangerine, apricot, slight mango. Just awesome citrus flavors bursting out. Flavor is citrus, orange, lemon, tangerine, bitter hop presence. Really nice. Hop forward but a distinct maltiness thatís really pleasant. Slight maltiness, but the hops shine through here.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had it from the bottle. The taste did not match the description, not as much fruit associated with it. A solid IPA though.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours into my tulip glass a golden amber, hazy and capped with an inch and a half of porous, lily-white foam. The aroma is nice; a ripe, spicy, guava as I bend to the glass, a somewhat biscuity malt foundation underlying the brightness of the hops. The first taste is a mildly sweet introduction to those fruits found in the nose, but backed up by an almost acrid bitter that lingers on the back of my tongue. Everything on the front is pleasant, fruity, almost sweet; but as soon as the brew is gone, the experience is flat and a bit uncomfortable. The lacing on the glass is inconsistent, but sticky as hell, and the head retention is very nice, keeping a lid tight over the surface. The carbonation is just right for the body, carrying the aroma out from the glass and keeping the sticky brew from a most boring finish. Nice aroma and flavor, but the afterward is only okay. I love the great premise behind the creation of it, but itís not my favorite.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a great, simple beer. Only one hop... The amazing citra. Taste the fruitiness in its character and enjoy.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz Bottle. Appearance is clear amber color with medium, off-white head. Aroma is heavy in the citra hops--mango, passion fruit, grapefruit with some floral evident as well. Taste is pretty one-sided with mostly hop bitterness present. Some malty sweet comes across as fruitiness but the balance is definitely weighted bitter. Palate is medium-bodied, slick texture, dry finish. The beer seems like itís just trying to show off the citra without much imagination along with it.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From a bottle. Loght golden body with a big pungent sweet resin aroma. Lots of citrus flavor, but I also get a hint of onion taste. Not really digging the savory flavors or the hint of onion. Maybe this would be a good beer to cook with. Not one of the better citra hop examples

Bottle. Murky light orange pour. Citrus and pine aroma and taste. This doesnít seem fresh - bet it would be much better fresh.
