3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle from six-pack, Andersons, Columbus, OH. Hazy gold-orange, creamy white head, strong lacing. Aroma is a dead giveaway for the citra, and lots of it. Citrus, toast, pine, caramel. Verging on over-hopped but this has a solid malt backbone and body that do stand up well. Iím a big fan of Thirsty Dog and this is another above-average offering from them.

Draught at Jet Rock Bar and Grill in Terminal B of PHL. Peach and apricot aroma is nice. Appearance is a murky dishwater in a golden silver color....I have never seen a beer that look like this. Flavor is tropical fruit. Hard to get past the appearance.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a very effervescent pale yellow with a medium head of white foam. Crisp citrus aroma with some light malts. Taste is a mix of citrus with some strong malts and fairly bitter and somewhat harsh. Not nearly as refreshing as I had expected. Too dry and bitter for my liking.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear light gold with thin head. A little sweetness followed by some citrus and tropical fruit aromas, then grassy soapy bitterness. Solid but not transcendent.

12oz bottle from Bottle Shock in Port St Lucie. Yellowish pour. Tangy fruit. Grapefruit. Lemon. The flavor blend is not the best, and there is some lingering basement in the taste. 13.3

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A decent run of the mill IPA. Nothing groundbreaking here but it is a solid drinkable beer. Aroma was ok. A little weak but when my nose went into the glass there was caramel, grapefruit rind and earth. Pour was a hazy medium gold with a one finger white head. Taste was typical Midwestern IPA. Malt forward, with sweet malt providing the backbone and hot onion and earthy hops creating some bitterness. Nice carbonation. Could use a little more hop bitterness but thatís not really in style at the moment.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice aroma of citrus, and tangerine. Color is clear somewhat dark golden with a white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a little lacing. Flavor is a pleasant citrus hoppiness. A pretty good malt balance to the bitterness. Med (appropriate) body. Overall, a pretty nice citra IPA. Iíd drink more!
