Our hoppiest beer! The complex character of American hops and amber colored caramel malts make this beer very crisp and refreshing. Silver Medal winner at the G.A.B.F. 2001.

A touch of quickly fading floral hops, and a touch of caramel in the aroma. The beer pours a clear amber, with a thin white head. Very deep malt backbone, with lots of caramel coming through. Thereís a touch of floral hops in the beginning, with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Not quite what I would expect in a beer referenced as their hoppiest beer, and Hoppus Maximus, but not a bad amber.

Bottle. Pours hazy reddish gold with a fluffy white head. Aromas of sweet fruit--caramel and apricot--and citrus hops. Flavors of honey, ginger, stone fruit, caramel and bitter citrus. Crisp finish with a lingering hop bite. Somewhat oily mouthfeel. Very nice beer!

Cloudy, dark orange body with a medium-lasting white head. Very hoppy aroma with seaweed notes. Very hoppy bitter taste mixed with orange zest, short-lived. Medium body has a nice tangy feel.

This was poured into a pint glass. Bottle came from Batdorf, Annville PA. The appearance was a hazy red color with a slim bar pourís kind of white head. The smell mainly had a malty sweet caramel malts with a subdued grassy/earthy hoppiness to it. The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors to combine and give off a decent amount of light caramel notes in the aftertaste. The finish was quick. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued. Overall, I say this was an okay American Amber ale that I could have again but nothing over the top.

Pours a nice amber color with a good two finger head..aroma is slightly citrus..kind of a disappointment when you have a name like this..I expected a hopps bomb..not the case..flavor is malty goodness with some roasted and toffee notes..all in all avg amber brew

From bottle. Lightly amber golden color. Aroma is grapefruit, oxidation, and toffee. Taste is similar, with some butter and bitter citrus notes. Nice taste, but just a little too bitter on the back end.

Draft at Mudville 9 NYC . Not sure how this is their hippie at beer but maybe it is. Deep cloudy nutty color with a more malty aftertaste then anything

bottle @ Jungle Jimís / Eastgate OH --- Slightly hazy dark amber, bubbly 1" ivory head, mottled curtain of lace. Taste is caramel malt that is intercepted by solid floral hops in the palate. Both malt and hops are up to the task, and move easily through a medium-length finish. Not a major brew, but does what it intends very well.

12oz bottle, amber pour, typical American Amber. Good hop flavors, citrus hops balanced with the sweet malt. Decent.
