A robust porter, dark brown in color and full-bodied with a malty sweet taste. Deep roasted, yet silky-smooth! Two types of roasted malts, including deep-roasted chocolate malt are used to give this porter a rich, chocolately taste.

Bottled: Reddish brown colour. Brown head. Malt, chocolate, a vague roastyness. Chocolate, malt, light coffee and sweet fruityness. Is very smooth and pleasant. Is sweet and light bitter in the end. Very chocolatish.

A deep dark brown porter with a super thick frothy brown head. In aroma, a nice mix of Brett and bitter chocolate, alcohol burn, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet peaty chocolate with dark fruits, a bit lighter than expected, but still nice. Shared with GRM.

GABF ’07. Pours dark brown with an average, frothy, light brown head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toasted chocolate), light hops (herbs), average yeast (leather, meat, earth) with notes of cola and cardboard. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

This beer rocks! Another pitch black brew from Thirsty Dog. Mid-sized, well-tanned, creamy head. Murky brown color is revealed when held up to the sun. The aroma is of milk chocolate and cinnamon. Little else. Sometimes quality over quantity wins out! The flavor is of a thick and rich brew. Chocolate and vanilla notes. Very full-bodied with a motor oil mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Sweet up front. Balanced-out and just a whisper of bitterness on the backside. Semi-sweet finish. It's no Siberian Night Imperial Stout, but a damn good, "little brother" nonetheless!
