Poured a darl brown to black colour with a toffee 1/2 inch head. Aroma was of roasted malts, chocolate, and spice. Flavor is of chocolate, vanilla, and burnt malt with spice. Medium full bodied with medium carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel.

Bottle from Appalachian Vintner. Pours black with a thick khaki head. A bit of chocolate on the nose. Dusty chocolate on the tongue with a touch of sweetness. Finishes with some hop bitterness for fun. Not bad.

Pours a three finger light tan head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Black color, no highlights. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Light cocoa nose and flavor is light cocoa, hints of honey, burnt chocolate finish. $3.80 for a 12oz bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, ME.

Draft pour at the source. Pours a black with a khaki colored head. The aroma has sweet honey, mild spice, and a touch of roast. The taste is more on the sweet and spicy side. Pretty good overall. Medium body and medium carbonation.

On tap. Dark beer with a creamy tan head. Light chocolate and raw grain nose. Rich chocolate flavors with some vanilla notes, roasted grains, and a shot of citrus hops in the finish. Nice soft mouthfeel. Nice chocolate flavored stout.
