3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Dayton) Hazy amber body with off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, floral, caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, floral, chocolate, caramel. Watery light-medium body. For some reason, the body and taste seem at odds with one another.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dayton draft. Aroma was hoppy in style with IPA with a sweet tone. Flavor was complex hops, malt and a medium sweet finish. Medium in body and was a very pleasing brew.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Good example of an English IPA. Decent throughout. Dry, biting hops accent it well.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This draft brew from the brewery poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized long lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind an excellent lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent and light yello brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild hops. Its mouth feel is initially smooth asnd was very smooth for an IPA but came on strong in the finish Its flavor contained caramel hoppy notes. A very average brew.

Rated at TDBC. Medium sized ivory head that mostly diminished, fine-medium sized bubbles, good lacing, uncarbonated, and cloudy. Malty, hoppy, sweet aroma. The flavor was sweet, caramel, malty and hoppy. Tingly, hoppy mouthfeel. Light body.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Dayton location. So this is an IPA, and Hoppus Maximus is an English Pale Ale? Something seems screwy. In any event, this beer lacked character IMO. Looked just like Hoppus Maximus in the glass, with a clear copper body and a medium light tan head. In contrast to Hoppus, the aroma here is subtle, with earthy hops and caramel. The flavor is actually malt-dominated, with classic Thirsty Dog caramels and light fruit interplaying with the rather subdued English hops, which left an earthy, slightly bitter aftertaste. Although quaffable this is not a very distinctive brew.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Stinging hoppiness in the middle of the taste profile from an odd blend of hops. No wonder the hop aroma comes out in the nose. Not a good IPA at all - just not convincing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This british hound is thick and strong and possesses great character. Nice warm oaky hops, short dry finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Underrated - a classic English fruitiness (Fuggle?) and toasty malt - of course this is not a regular IPA - an appealing and well-put together, minerally version.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not much of an aroma. Tasted more like a Pale Ale to me. The bitterness was light even for an English IPA. Some acidy on the finish
