We took our award winning Siberian Night Russian Imperial Stout and aged it for 11 months in fresh bourbon barrels. The result blew us away. The dark chocolate malt yields a milk chocolate flavor that blends perfectly with the vanilla flavor from the barrel. The bourbon aroma adds the finishing touch.

I remember not liking the original siberian night, but it’;s been awhile. I do like this though. Really deep roastiness that fades a little bit to malty sweetness as the beer warms. Tannin mouthfeel from the barrel is noticeable. Not really capable of finding nuances tonight, but I do like this versus the first siberian night i had

The flavor and mouthfeel do not live up to the expectations set by the aroma. Still a very palatable beer, but not worthy of the price especially when sitting along side of other easily available beers in this category.

Black pour with a thin espresso colored head. Aroma of wood & liqour. Medium mouth that is pretty creamy. Very hot, lots of booze. Hints of chocolate & coffee. A litlte caramel. As it warms up, chcolate starts to dominate the flavor. Chocolate milk w/ bourbon in it comes to mind. Not overly sweet either.

12 oz, tulip, drunk at around 45-50 degrees. Lovely chocolate vanilla bourbon aroma. Black with light brown head that persists as 2-cm ring. Flavor more bitter coffee and chocolate than aroma led me to expect. Bitterness mellows after a few minutes. Chocolate dominates and bourbon is pleasant woody shadow.

355 ML bottle 2012 vintage Black with a thin ruby layer. Dark tan ringed collar. Head holds up well. Nose is malted chocolate, vanilla, toasted coconut, soft oak and bourbon. Complex, rich nose. Taste reflects nose perfectly. Maybe a touch more coconut. Wonderfully balanced and hides the abv well. Drinks like 7%. Great beer
