COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took our award winning Siberian Night Russian Imperial Stout and aged it for 11 months in fresh bourbon barrels. The result blew us away. The dark chocolate malt yields a milk chocolate flavor that blends perfectly with the vanilla flavor from the barrel. The bourbon aroma adds the finishing touch.

Bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop. Why in the world did I pay $7.99 for 12oz? An impulsive moment for me, and in retrospect a stupid one. This beer is good but far from great. Black pour, sort of flat. Nose is lots of vanilla, slightly sour oak notes, hints of chocolate. Lots more sweet chocolate, syrupy sweet, and a bit of chocolate bitterness on the finish. Far from worth the cost.

Nice toasted coconut aromas, beautiful head, but which recedes rather quickly. Flavor: bourbon very present, but not much burn from it. Very nice. Dark bitter chocolate late on the palate. Definitely needs to be served at its recommended temp. Would like a little more refined mouthfeel; the bourbon is thinning to the mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep burnt umber with a two fingers of khaki foam... this beer is very inviting with roasted peanuts, milk chocolate, light roast character and some hints of taffy, cocoa dust, vanilla bean, cake batter and a touch of boozy heat lingers. Tasty !

Buckeyeboy provided this 12oz bottle tonight at a random Tuesday tasting. Pours pitch black with a coating thickness... dark brown head leaves good lacing. Nose has pretty good barrel presence, but seems pretty ashy. Vanilla and hints of cocoa are hammered pretty heavy by an acrid dark malt presence. Flavor is a little better... slightly more sweetness helps tie the barrel and dark maltiness together... but it falls pretty flat on the finish and a lingering ashy/burnt malt profile just hangs and hangs. Body is lighter than expected... carbonation is pretty proper. Thanks again Jeremy!!

Small bottle shared with the boys. Aroma is heavy oak barrel, bourbon, cocoa, dark chocolate and vanilla. Pours deep black with a very small brown film. Great vanilla, bourbon, oak and cocoa taste. Roasty mouthfeel and not too sticky. Just a great stout. Would gladly pound one of these things myself.

The bourbon ba siberian night pours a deep blackish brown with a minimal ring of khaki colored foam that stuck to my glass. The aroma has an inviting sweet boozy bourbon scent with vanilla, chocolate, soft oak, mild roasted malt tones, and a milk cream or sugary glaze like sweetener. In tasting I picked up on a mild to medium intensity of roasted malts, mild booze, minor but defined bitter sweet chocolate and sugary like flavor. The finish is enjoyable, nothing is too much or overbearing. Also this beverage was kind to my palate. Overall a rather good brew. Personally I liked that this drink was not too rich but still very favorable.

Bottle back from Bestway in NC. Shared with EricTeusink. Pleasantly surprised at the complexity and texture here. Barrell adds to an already complex beer but in a complementary way. Aromas of vanilla and whiskey, a little bit of soy sauce. Flavor is more straight stout. Roasty malt and bittersweet with a little pepper spice on the back of the palate. Finish is chalky texture with milk chocolate flavors. A personal fave of mine when you can get that texture and rich chocolate in there. Lots going on and really complex but all working together well. A below the radar beer that needs to get some more love.

This rate has been compromised by Atlanta pollen and the allergies it induces. Pours nearly black with nice tan head. Scent is booze, coffee, and dark chocolate. Nice sweet bourbon front with solid back bite. Thick and creamy with nice carbonation. Bottle - Shared by Jrob21

Danke southbierboy! Pours very dark brown black with a small deep tan head. The aroma is vanilla, toasted coconut, bourbon, roasted malt, molasses and dark fruit. The taste is dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, bourbon, coconut. The body is medium+ with soft, fine carbonation. A tasty BB stout for sure.

Midnight black pour, ample tan head that settles to a ring. Aroma of chocolate, anise, vanilla, oak, and bourbon. Taste is fudge, bourbon, wood, and caramel. Thick, chewy mouthfeel. Great stuff.

Bottle thanks to awlcordell. Pours opaque black with a small creamy dark brown head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt, bourbon, cocoa, dried fruits, vanilla. Flavor is much the same, well balanced barrel notes contribute but do not dominate. Lightly sweet, medium roasty bitterness, coffee & vanilla on the finish. Full bodied and creamy. Lightly warming finish due to ABV.
