COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took our award winning Siberian Night Russian Imperial Stout and aged it for 11 months in fresh bourbon barrels. The result blew us away. The dark chocolate malt yields a milk chocolate flavor that blends perfectly with the vanilla flavor from the barrel. The bourbon aroma adds the finishing touch.

On tap at Daily Growler, UA: black pour with thin tan head. aroma of burnt sweet chocolate, little vanilla, oak. tastes are dark roasty, bitter coffee - donít get much bourbon. still good, but little disappointing as a variation on the base. think I like base better. - 7.4

Pours dark as a starless night. Normal head, lacing and retention for a barrel aged stout. Rich nose of bourbon over mostly chocolate, but roast and hints of dark fruit are also present. As it warns, coffee is noted. Light full body with a rich smooth texture that is almost creamy. Normal carbonation for barrel aged with effervescence in the finish. The excellent flavor profile is well balanced and complex. It begins with bourbon, under which is sweet dark chocolate that progresses to roast and coffee, then rotates to a caramel and dark fruit sweetness. Notes of raisin, plum and molasses are detected across the profile. It finishes smoothly with sweetness, and a slight alcohol note, roast bitterness and a fading bourbon flavor.

GIJOE (732) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - FEB 13, 2015
Pours black with a huge pillowy tan head that lingers long. Some lacing. Nose is intense boozy dark-roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla with notes of coffee, bourbon, and a hint of wood. Taste is quite sweet, but the hop bite comes through. Aftertaste is like bourbon filled chocolates. Full body. Mild carbonation. Very tasty brew.

Location: 12 oz bottle as pictured (gold foil), 2/9/15

Aroma: The nose is heavy bourbon, some sweet vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, and a little ash
Appearance: This one pours a black color with a fizzy froth of brown head and some splotchy lace
Flavor: The flavor is sweet and bourbony up-front, with a heavy ashy, smokey finish to it
Palate: The body of this one is pretty full and fairly heavy, with nice, dry, smokey finish
Overall Impression: Iím not sure where I got this from, Kramer maybe? Itís had been in the back of the fridge for a while. This one is actually pretty unique due to that smokey/ashy flavor. It actually surprised me. I really appreciate how well it worked with the imperial stout and bourbon flavors to provide balance. This beer reminds that big beers like this can have depth of flavor, and that they donít have to be straight booze on top of sweetness.

Bottle pour to snifter. Similar (of course) to the non- bourbon version. Surprisingly, I liked the next non-bourbon version. Bourbon accents were muted.

Vanilla bean and bourbon forward. Other flavors of dark chocolate, lightly toasted grains, oak, brown sugar and hints of roasted coffee. More dark chocolate and raisins in the finish. Tart cherries come through as it warms. Medium/heavy bodied and very smooth.

Pours pitch black with a thick mocha head...great retention and lacing. Aroma has nice bourbon with toasted coconut, dark chocolate, vanilla. Flavor follows suit and adds notes of mild smoke and brown sugar...awesome! Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with a slightly boozy/oaky dark chocolate finish. So good!
