COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took our award winning Siberian Night Russian Imperial Stout and aged it for 11 months in fresh bourbon barrels. The result blew us away. The dark chocolate malt yields a milk chocolate flavor that blends perfectly with the vanilla flavor from the barrel. The bourbon aroma adds the finishing touch.

Bottle at THT. Black with velvety dark beige head. Massive bourbon, vanilla, sweet chocolate dessert, light berries, strawberry jam, soft toffee notes with molten brown sugar. Sweet with light berry tartness and light roasted bitter finish. Full bodied with creamy feel and soft carbonation. Very nice.

Dark brown color with light brown head. Aroma has roasted malts and some dark, bitter chocolate. Taste starts a bit sweet and finishes a bit bitter, but overall the beer is quite balanced. Not really evident bourbon character but quite nice overall.

Bottled. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is alcohol, liquorice, some ripe fruits, coffee, mild roasted malts as well as some chocolate. Flavour is liquorice, alcohol, coffee, chocolate and mild wooden notes. Mild vanillaish tones to it as well, once it warms up a bit.

pours opaque black with a very thin head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is fantastic. Roasted coffee, vanilla, chocolate, light smoke and bourbon. Taste matches the aroma and is fantastic as well. Hints of dark fruit. Full bodied, oily texture and sticky on the lips. The bourbon seems to be more present in the finish. All around this is a fantastic Imperial stout.

Paid a steep price for this bottle at 7- 11 Kittery, ME. Spilt this bottle with Willrunforbeer, sorry it sucked! Pitch black color, no head. Aroma is light chocolate, mild oak, and a mild coffee grounds. No bourbon but it still smells proper.

The flavor is slightly sour oak, charred grain, mild chocolate hints. No bourbon found here at all. I have no doubt the sourness should NOT be here. Maybe the infection killed the bourbon? It upsets me that to pay a premium for a bottle and it is infected.... Nobody else has had a problem with infection??? Hard to believe it was just my bottle... *sigh*

12oz bottle shared by AirForceHops. Thanks, Chris! Pours nearly black with a light brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, vanilla, multigrain bread. Bourbon is missing from the flavor. It’s dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, slight sour.

Bottle (from Brooklyn). Opaque black color, good beige head. Strong bourbon vanilla aroma, some toasted malts and alcohol. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Sweetish vanilla, some alcohol. Vanilla overdose. A bit too much vanilla.

A very good but not great beer but with that said I am sure there are plenty of people who’ll love this beer. Its enjoyable I would drink it again but not one I would seek out. Good job Thirsty Dog.
