Yum! What a nice extra to have from our growler swap. Dark, black, thick. Malty, roasted nose. Really nice smoke, ash, woody taste gives way to a nice chocolate bitterness and just a touch of alcoholic heat. Quite excellent!

January 10, 2013 bottle from Matt as a trade extra. Black pour with some tan head and spotty lacing. Give it a swirl and the nice tan head really foams up and coats the glass. Aroma was strong of roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. Taste was consistent with aroma, but creamy and the alcohol was noticeable in the finish. Would have liked this to be a tad thicker, but a very nice beer regardless.

Pours inky black and smooth with a gorgeous if quick medium brown head. Standard but true notes of coffee, dark chocolate, and a bit of hops take the nose. Flavor is a little weak and hops-dominated on the front but the coffee and cream come out hard on the back with lingering bitter bite. Finish leans to cocoa and more roastiness. Alcohol is hidden. Good stuff.

355ml bottle. Inky black colour, hint of cola brown around the edges, small, oily, milk chocolate head that died down pretty quick. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and alcohol. Dark roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Notes of alcohol and peppery hops. Body is very heavy and smooth, Overall, it almost could be coffee.

dark black pour minimal head. Roasty and toasty malts. dark and heavy. nothing really overwhelming about it, but no gimics to it either. Very good example of a standard russian imperial.

Nice. Coffee, roasty, thick and bready. Pours opaque, very nearly black with garnet edges in the light. Tan head with persistent lacing. Sweet aroma. Quaffs well despite weight. Reminiscent of Yeti, a bit.

It pours solid black. The head has a nice brown foam that soon does a disappearing act. The Siberian Night has a delightful roasted malt scent. The caramelized malts show up during the taste. I also notice hop characteristics. In the end the stout has some minimal dryness with a stronger bitterness. Overall this is a very nice stout to relax with.

Pitch black pour w/ tan head. Solid imperial stout, just the right amount of alcohol taste but still exceedingly smooth. Diggin this one.

12 oz bottle pours a dark brown, almost black with vanishing tan head. Aroma is mostly dark chocolate, but with plenty of roasted mats, some coffee, and some earthy hops. Taste is slightly sweet with a dry finish. Mouthfeel is creamy, without too much carbonbation. Alcohol is very well hidden for 9.7%. Body isn’t as full as I had expected, but still a great Imperial Stout I’m glad to have found
