Creamy and full-bodied, with a complex character from generous amounts of roasted, toasted, and caramel malts. For those who demand flavor, this is the perfect libation. Bronze Medal winner 2003 GABF, Gold Medal winner 2005 GABF.

My friend had this one hanging around for a while for the right time to open it. Twas worth the wait. Bottled. Poured a deep thick opaque black with a dark brown head rocky, creamy head. Aroma was of roasted malt, dark cocoa, espresso, molasses and toasted bread. Some caramel and nutiness is also present. Mild fruitiness makes its way into the aroma as well: raison and dried cherry. Flavor was equally complex. Burnt barley malt and strong coffee with some complementing chocolate undertones. Sweet molasses and caramel syrup with some subtle earthy hop notes. Bitter dually from hops and roasted malts. Slight dark cherry, plum and date notes. Finishes dry and smooth with a tad of alcohol warmth. Body is on the slight thin side for an imperial stout, but still significantly full and silky with perfect carbonation. Excellent.

This is an amazing whiskey barrel aged Imperial Stout. On par w the historic Breckenridge "well built", Epic "Big Bad Baptist", barrel aged Great Divide "Yeti" and Avery Russian Imperial Stout "Czar". Drink and enjoy!

On tap. Very dark with light brown head. Aroma is roasty, a bit of coffee. Tasted pretty good, coffee, roasty, earthy. smooth, can taste the alcohol a bit. All in all, a pretty good imperial stout.

Mmm, an imperial w/out a lingering bitterness & exquisite mouthfeel! Beautiful black pour w/ a mocha head & a ring of lacing. The aroma is a little soft w/ some roasty notes. The flavor is complex w/ coffee, toffee, black liqourice, & a hint of chocolate. A delicious delight & so smooth on the palate - this is a very good beer!

A little boozy, six mos after release. Otherwise inky dark body and nice dark brown head, stout coats the glass! Great mouthfeel and nice lingering finish. This is a well developed Imperial -- everything I expect and desire. :)

High alcohol content but not over powering. Earthy taste but not too bitter. Real easy to drink.

Bottle shared with a fellow dad on a 4 year old’s play date. (Shoot me!) Pours a deep black with tan head. Aroma is coffee and licorice forward. Not overly sweet but definitely vanilla/barrel. Boost is right for a 12oz BA Imperial stout. Nice.

Bottled. Pours pitch black with a small, tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark fruits, coffee and liquorice notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and slightly bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A great Impy. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Tap. Pitch dark pour. Chocolate, almond butter, coffee, licorice, cream. Creamy and silky. Sweet and milky until the spiciness kicks in. Smooth and so good. Wow
