A pitch black beer with an extremely fast disappearing brown head. The aroma is of alcohol, chocolate, and coffee. The flavor is sweet and very roasted to start off and then with notes of roasted coffee beans and a little dark bitter chocolate. The end is dry roasty with notes of coffee.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours black and opaque with a handsome, dense light brown head. Sweetish, roasted malt aroma. Medium body with plenty of sweet, roasted malt and a soft, lightly burned edge. Not much bitterness really. Lovely indeed, but far from outstanding and not really Top 50 material. 191206

Bottled@Akkurat, Stockholm. Pitch black colour with mediumsized brown foamy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, toffee, some slight chocolaty notes as well as liquorice and some ashes. Flavour is chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, mild toffeeish notes as well as liquorice, ashes and mild notes of vanilla as well. Pleasant balance, easy to sip for a longer while on this...

Bottled from growler, thanks hopsrus! Extremely black with minimal near black head. Rich chocolate aroma. Extremely malty with thick mouthfeel and overpowering flavour of tar and salty licorice. Soft, yet firm maltiness. Very tasty, no doubt, but bigger isn't always better...

Black color, with a creamy cap. Strong aroma of roasted malts, with maybe too much phenol. Thick mouthfeel, oily, with a good mix of malt, caramel and strong roasted malt in the beginning; the roasted malt brings in a light sour touch, and helps limiting the oily feeling; the malt keeps supports the body strength and sweetness till the end (rare in Imperial Stouts, but appreciated); maybe the metallic touch at the end is a bit too evident. Very solid, but with some flaws that maybe will soften with some cellaring..
