blkitson (125), Westerville, Ohio, USA Mar 12, 2007 very dark with a nice head. There is a whiff of coffee during the 1st smell. Very very smooth and very very good. I am not a stout man, but this one makes me a believer.
daforrds (185), richmond, Indiana, USA Jul 15, 2008 Lennox Lewis was one of the greatest Heavyweights of all time. He had amazing physical gifts...from his 6’5" frame, to his punishing jab and finally his thunderous right hand. He had two mis steps in his entire career and was percieved to have a suspect chin. But he is one of the only fighters in the history of the sport to beat every fighter he ever stepped in the ring with. He is an all time great fighter amc3000 (35), houston, Texas, USA Jul 14, 2008 12oz. bottle.thanks to maltomeal.
a very impressive used motor oil pour with a small mocha colored head.
aroma is chocolate,burnt sugar,coffee.

CharlesDarwin (1323), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 14, 2008 12oz Bottle. Nice strong, robust chocolate and char nose. Rich with bourbon, dark fruit, and caramels. Soft, salty sugars glide into a bed of well-roasted coffee. Nice aroma. Pours a crisp black, lightly oily, with a rim in coffee and cream. Flavor is rich and sweet. Lots of deep creaminess blended into a lightly acrid, really sharp roast and coffee that sets up some stunning balance. Alcohol is there, bringing some of these flavors up into the nostrils. There are some lightly funky grain sugars in the back end. This is a well balanced, nicely flavored clean Imperial stout that is neither too cloying or too alcoholic. Hops shine only in the deepest finish. Nice, maybe a little safe, but a well-designed and well-brewed beer. lordeche (328), Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pours thick black with dark tan head. Aroma contains lots of vanilla and oak notes, chocolate, caramel, toffee, roasted malts, sweet dark plum and molasses, black currant, and roasted coffee. I could sit here and just smell this for an hour or so. The flavor is unreal- tons of bitter chocolate rounded off perfectly with vanilla and caramel notes, dark plum, licorice, and coffee at the end. Palate is slightly sticky, slightly chalky, but full and enjoyable. MtStateBeer (38), Hurricane, West Virginia, USA Jul 9, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice black with a tan head. The aroma is a bit of roasted malts, chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Flavor is nice, coffee, roated malts, and a bit of fruit. Mouthfeel is nice, full body and creamy. Very nice.
