COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Scottish Style Export Ale gets its unique flavor and aroma through a special time consuming, extra long and vigorous boil. The caramelization blends perfectly with the malty flavor of roasted barley and complementing hops. Raise a glass of this very drinkable ale to ANY occasion.

A decent serviceable Scottish. A moderate smokey aroma, a little peaty taste. Dark yellow colour, modest off-white head. Creamy mouthfeel. Satisfying, spot-on style, though not terrific.

Deep caramel pour with minimal off-white head. Nose is Wheaties. Tastes like liquid Wheaties with some hops and brown sugary notes. Medium palate, not offensive, like a Celebrator light.

Pours a deep amber color with a thin off-white head and some lacing. Aroma of malt, alcohol and cinnamon. Warm and rich malt flavor with a somewhat syrupy finish. Another foray into higher-ABV beers for Thirsty Dog, this is good stuff.

Sampled at the brewpub: Pours a clear dark copper orange with a frothy cream-colored head. Aroma boasts lot of sweet caramel and a touch of peat malt. Light salty smoke wafts about a viscous and syrupy sweet authentic tasting Scotch ale. Plenty of rich flavorful malt culminates in a somewhat gritty and floral sticky finish. A very enjoyable brew.
