On tap at Winter Warmer Fest 2014
This caught my eye on the program. A strong heavy winter warmer provides plenty of kick to warm up the palate. With a nice mouthfeel and flavor profile its only weakness might be a little too much emphasis on the rum.
Aroma / Appearance - A creamy stick foundation curls around the tasting glass with an ivory head for companionship. Caramel, vanilla, and molasses compete with rum in a big boozy bouquet that is about as subtle as a hot red sports cars driving down the road at 120 MPH.
Flavor / Palate - Full bodied and creamy this lives up to its billing. Sweet and chewy it almost tastes more like a liquer than a beer. Caramel and molasses wrap up a very strong beer that may have been one of the best at the show.
