COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our hefe is made with 50% wheat malt and only pure German wheat yeast. This yeast which shows in the cloudiness in the beer also creates the delightful clove vanilla and banana aromas. Truly a unique beer, taste Bavaria through Thirsty Dog today. IBU=10, OG=12P, 5.2%ABV

One of the best hefeweizen beers I’ve ever had smooth, I can taste a hint of orange and even vanilla. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this on draft on Thai 9 restaurant in Dayton, paired with a spicy thai vegetable and noodles dish. Cloudy golden color, thin head receeded to a small collar around the rim by the time it was served. Wheat, grass and hay with an orange citrusy aroma. Pleasant orange flavor with some spice flavors detected like coriander. Dry finish, light bodied, good carbonation. Lite, clean and crisp, very refreshing. Reminded me a bit of Oberon. Paired really nicely with my spicy Thai dish.

Old bottle which allowed the yeast cake to settle quite nicely to bottom and allowed for an initial pour which was bright and clear vibrant yellow, but after rousing the yeast, turned it a darker hued cloudy burnt orange with wispy clearish white head, that quickly fades. Surprisingly, this had exactly the notes you look for in a german hefe - banana, clove, vanilla, light breadiness. Crisp and refreshing, but with a velvety mouthfeel. Honestly, this is pretty damn good for an american try at the traditional style.

This poured a cloudy yellow straw color with a white head. Aroma was of banana, yeast, and wheat notes. Flavor was lemon zest and banana, also very yeasty. Impressive for the style.

Bottle from giant eagle. Nose is banana and clove with some wheat. Decent yeast fullness and banana, clove and spice in there but not too strong. Not great but decent. ---Rated via my mouth

On tap into a pint glass. Appearance is a hazy gold with a one-finger sized white head. Aroma is all esters: banana, nutmeg, cloves, orange peels. Taste is sweet, fruity, and esters. Pretty solid beer, I don’t understand why it has such a low rating on here. Maybe I just got an awesome glass.

12 oz bottle, purchased @ Nikki’s Liquors in Providence, RI. REAL Hazy yellow nearly orange. Normal carbonation, with yeast floating around. Pleasant nose of Bavarian yeast and a bit of orange. A pretty good take on a German Hefeweizen. More citrus then clove, but still the body and yeast is right on the money. fF you like this style you should like this brew. Well made and has drinkability.

Color of fresh apple cider mixed with orange juice. It’s murky, making it hard to see the average carbonation with lots of yeast sediment floating on the bottom. Aroma is of Bavarian Yeast and a hint of citrus. It is smooth on the tongue, with orange and yeast. The first sip was slightly sweet. But as it warms the sweetness isn’t as noticeable. It’s medium bodied in the mouth and it reminds me of a German Hefe. Very smooth to drink. Glad I picked it up at Nikki’s Liquors in Providence, RI. Drank with AirForceHops-Of Course.

quite an appropriately flavored and well bodied brew of the species! not overdone or slick the beer is drinkable and alcohol seemed right. not amped up, but again seemingly genuine in ever way.
