4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2012 On tap at Thirsty Monk South in Asheville, pours a hazy pale straw into the glass, with a fluffy retentive head that leaves trace lace down the glass. Gorgeous spicy nose. Flavors are plentiful, with banana, light clove, wheat, a touch of bubblegum, citrus, and maybe even a touch of marshmallow. The finish is crisp and clean. Mouthfeel is almost perfect, with decent carbonation on top of a smooth silky palate. The body is substantive, allowing for an influx of flavors, but light enough to be a superb quaff in the blazing heat. Might possibly be the best summer brew I’ve ever tried. No kidding, it’s wonderful.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours slightly cloudy and the color of pineapple with an inch of white head which fades rapidly. Big banana, clove, and esters on the nose. Big banana and clove on the tongue with just a touch of bubble gum. Finishes clean. Fantastic example of the style.
