COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed back in March, this Russian Imperial Stout is so big it took two sessions to brew. This beer was made from the first, most sugary wort from each brew day. Then we made a smaller stout with the rest of the wort both days. 10% ABV 10 oz "I must break you"

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2013 [On-tap at Thirsty Pagan] Pours black with a brown head. Aroma is, similar to Fitgers, hard to get because of food smells (pizza here). Taste is quite nice, lots of brownie and restrained ash. Smoke as well. Mild alcohol--as expected, comes out with warmth. Medium mouthfeel, smooth, long finish. Solid RIS--not quite top tier, but very solid, and reasonably priced as well.

A true mark of a good beer is that I think of it later and still crave it. That is the case for this one, so I’m bumping it up a couple of tenths.
