Powerful foaming ale with an impressive nougat colored foam that lasts. Clear aroma of hops with citrus flavor. Slightly burnt taste with notes of licorice and coffee. Quickly comes a sharp but tasty bitterness of hops with distinct notes of citrus fruit.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2015 Bottle thanks to MF666. Close to black with a large frothy light brown head. The nose is discreet, but damn, the flavour unfolds. Rich malty body, soft carbonation, balanced finish with dry bitterness. Chocolate, green hops, cocoa, flowery hops. Bargain.

Sampled from bottle thanks to dad. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized tan head that leaves superb lacing. Aroma is malts, nicely hoppy, some caramel. Taste lightly malts, caramel, roasted malts, slightly herbs, hops, nicely bitter. Quite full bodied, medium carbonation. Way better than expected. Nice one!

Smell gives a hint of what to come . Full flavour when you get first taste and then it keeps growing without being too much

Bottle from Systembolaget (stored in the cellar for a while). Hops and grass on the nose, also some fruits. Similar taste with dark bread but not very roasted. I have a feeling this was better fresh then stored, but still good.

God lukt og utseende. God lang ettersmak. Noe skarp første smak, men er et godt og fyldig øl.

50cl. bottle. Looks like a porter. Taste is of sugar, caramel, coffee and lots of roasted malt. Sweet at first, then a dry slightly bitter aftertaste. Doesn’t smell like anything. Alcohol is masked pretty well. Pretty good.
