COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Mellemgod.

I’m not a big fan of Brown Ale, but when my wife had purchased this as an ingredient to a deer that now stands and long fry in a roaster in the oven, then it is obvious that I just wrote a review of the approximately 20 cl. which were in surplus. The foam is nice and welcoming and the flavor caramel and roasted malt. Acidic slightly spicy flavor with distinct caramel. Quite tasty beer.

Bottle, 50cl. Pours ruby red, lightly brown color with a small beige head. Sweetish caramel malty aroma, plums, other ripe dark fruits and toffee. Nutty caramel and sweet, bit sour malty flavour. Oily sticky texture with medium body. Average beer, bit one dimensioned and too sweet.

Beautiful beer, nice head and good aroma. A little flat tasting considering the looks of it. Dominant bittermalts/liqurice, but may be a result of the top-fermented yeast. Nice balance between sweet and bitternes . Great for use in gastronomi, slowcooking stews etc. or as a 12 degree C drink with mature cheese

Sampled from bottle thanks to dad. Mahogany red to brown color, small to average sized beige head. Smell malts, caramel, some sweetness, plums. Taste malts, caramel, slightly a caramelly bitterness, lightly molasses. Medium body, medium carbonation. Quite enjoyable.

No Thisted house flavor is there as an annoying woodpecker on the palate. A sour-sweet burnt story that was extremely close to the sink.

Bottle from Torben. Pours dark brown with a huge frothy light tanned head. Aroma of toffee and caramel. Taste is more malty, toffee and even some chocolate. Medium bodied. Light metallic finish.
