3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
50cl (as "Thisted 5 Stenøl", 7%, not exactly an alias of this imho). bb 05/2016 - Tasted side by side with benchmark representative of the nearly extinct style, Leikeim Steinbier. - Luminous ruby-amber. Cleaner-cut, well-behaved "Starkbier/American Strong" version of the Steinbier with smooth Werther’s Echte caramels replacing the natural honeylike wort and yeast smoothness of the original. Good late hop bitters to balance, making it well drinkable, if also a tad metallic in the finish.

(4) Below average.
I had this as the alias no 5. I understand why they’ve changed labels - although the high peeps at Thisted, should be able to make the labels even better.

1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
The aroma is caramel. The taste is slightly caramelized.. It has the Bocks brittle nature of malt fullness and hop bitterness. Towards the end occurs an unmistakable tart tang seems like infection. Possibly. an impure bottle which enabled infection. It tastes not good.
