50 cl bottle@home in lager glass@approx 6 degrees c. Pours chestnut brown with decent off white head with ok retention. Toasted malt dominates the aroma and not much else happens in the taste which is very one-dimensional, on the sweet side and without any hop. No unpleasantness, but add a short aftertaste, medium carbonation and thin watery body and this is the least interesting beer I have had from a brewery I normally rate very highly. This one is not for me.

Bottle from Meny, Amager, Copenhagen - dark brown coloured pour with a tiny off-white head. Medium sweet toasted malty aroma and taste, with notes of caramel, vague dark fruit, thin watery body, some unpleasant metallic nuance in the close, not great.

Bottle. 4.8%. Best before 23.05.17. Pours a clear, golden chestnut brown with a diminishing beige/light tan head. No lacing. Malty aroma, a bit roasted. Flavour is malty with a light fruity note. Metallic overtone as it warms. Mildly bitter finish, slightly tart, with a light roasted note. Lingering light green apple note. Overall okay, if a bit boring. 28.06.16.

Copenhagen 18/1 2015. 50 cl bottle from Netto. Pours Brown with beige head. Slowly subsiding. Aroma is of dark roasted malts and licorice. Very nice. Low carbonation provides sloppy mouthfeel. Taste is a bit watery and sweetish with caramel. Smells better than it tastes.

0.33 bottle. Very dark brown color and a medium-sized, off-white head. Aroma is definitely malty with caramel, smoked meat, wood, dark malts, and nutty hints. Taste is malty, smoky, and a little bit salty, although quite metallic too. Medium body, creamy texture, and average carbonation. Finish introduces some sour and licorice-like tones but generally stays the same. Overall a simplistic brew, slightly better than your average commercial beer but nothing out of the ordinary.

Biggish beige head. Clear deep dark red body. Roasty caramelly syrupy aroma with vanilla and toasted almonds notes. Dryish, and faintly sweet, caramelly sugary taste with buttery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth, oily mouthfeel. Dryish mineraly caramelly aftertaste with buttery notes. Very low on flavour, but so smooth and subtle it’s kind of appealing even so. The butter lingers on. I think I like it, but it’s a bit odd. (0.5l bottle, from Føtex, Frederikshavn.)
