3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
In this special brew they use 5.71 times more bog myrtle than in the normal Porse Guld. Only 2000 bottles have been produced. I tried it from a small wooden cask at the Danish Beer Festival. It is cloudy blond with a small head. The characteristic bog myrtle is very evident. It gives this brew a very special and very strange aroma and flavour. I am not quite sure if I like it.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 5.8%. Pale golden colour, big white head. Strong grassy, sweetish and herbal aroma. Decent "pilsener" flavour, with distinct herbal notes of bog myrtle. Bitter aftertaste. Quite good.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
330 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a big white head. Aroma is a bit rank bitter and almost perfumed. Flavor is sweet malt and bitter, a quite ordinary pilsner. I really don’t recognize much of the bog myrtle, maybe that’s the perfumed aroma or maybe this beer has to be really fresh to let the spicy flavor come to life. IMO this is just another industrial pilsner. Would try to find a fresh bottle for re-rating.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Average white fizzy head that mostly diminished. Some lacing. Body was clear light sparkling looking with a yellow color. Aroma was clear bog myrtle, and light notes of malty sweetness. Also hints of some buttery notes and light licorice, properly from the bog myrtle. Light bodied with a soft carbonation. Flavor was light bitter with hint of sweetness. Finish was slightly dry and bitter. I actually thought this was an ok beer.
