Danish: Øllet er den gamle brygmesters sidste og dermed ultimative overgærede porter i 23-forsøgsserien. Historien er, at når den gamle brygmester (efter egen mening) havde fremstillet ”verdens bedste” overgærede porter, kunne han lade sig pensionere med den øl. Og det sker så nu inden så længe. Øllet er brygget på Thisted Bryghus med Christian Skovdal Andersen som gæstebrygger – den formentlig eneste gæstebrygger i Peter Klemensens funktionsperiode på Thisted Bryghus. Christian Skovdal Andersen er kendt for sin specielle humlingsmetode. Fusionen mellem Christian Skovdal Andersens humlingsmetode og Peter Klemensens stenølsproduktion håber begge på bliver succesfuld. Døm selv. Øllets bitterstofindhold er ca. 80 IBU.

Bottle. Pours hazy with a stable, brownish head. Nice, smarty, herbal, slightly fruity aroma. Dark brown colour. Spicy, herbal, malty taste with a hint of roasted coffee. Good stuff.

Bonus bottle from the great guy at Toft Vin Islands Brygge, thanks a lot! Dark brown body, brown head. Aroma of dark malt and hops, more hoppy than I expected. Taste of dark chocolate, hops, coffee, nice bitterness. Very lively and sparkling beer.

Bottled. Pours opaque black with a medium sized, creamy beige head, leaving af good lacing. Nose of roasted, hops malt and chocolate. Sweet flavor of chocolate, coffee licorice, earthy hops and dark fruit notes. Full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. More dry and nce bitter finish with an alcohol touch.

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a red shine under a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malt, dusty hops, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, alcohol, roasted malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry, bitter, and alcoholic finish.

Aroma is roasted and fruity hoppy with strong notes of smoke, ash, sweet licorice, soft brown sugar, dried dark druits and a dash of mint Taste is fruity hoppy, english licorice, roasted coffee, a little mint and chocolate. Quite big and bold, soft mouthfeel. Long bittering finish. Nice one...
