Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 24, 2003 A golden beer with a fast disappearing head. The aroma is slight but malty. The flavor is nice bitter right from the start, then sweet and a lingering bitterness. Great for a pilsener. Papsoe (10459), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 11, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Nicely fully golden, rather small head. Some sweetish malt with a very soft mouthfeel. Good balance between sweet and bitter although the hoppiness is not very pronounced - as could be expected from it’s name (Humle = hops). Nice, strong organic lager. 120200 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jan 24, 2003 Well, it doesn't really back it's name up - there isn't that much hop. Light amber; light aroma of grain, hop. Has a herbal, grassy hop character - quite soft - with bready notes. Grassy, semi-sweet finish.
yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 8, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy orange with a quickly diminishing white head. Sweet, citrus, slight sulphorish and very minor bubblegum yeast aroma. Soft mouthfeel. Starts sweet and goes slight citric and finally bitter. Soft and slight sweet throughout. A bit off in the aroma, but a good flavour. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 11, 2005 Updated: Nov 10, 2006Amber colour with a white head.
Hoppy aroma with malty notes.
Malty flavour with flowery notes and a well balanced hoppy finish.
One of the best danish pilseners.
Gets 1 extra point, cause it’s organic.
