Bottle. With Thisted being an old Danish brewery, I didn’t expect an American-style pale ale when I cracked this one open, but I was wrong. It poured a clear, slightly pale golde body, with a fine off-white head leaving nice lacings. The aroma was citrusy and piney on a malty backbone that was a bit too weak. There was some soapy notes as well, but they disappeared rather quickly, luckily enough. The flavor was citrusy, piney and malty with the hops dominating, but it wasn’t too bitter. Full body and a little astringency from the hops. Fruity, bitter finish. I found it a bit one-dimentional on the hoppy side, but it was quite quaffable, and even though it’s only 5.1% ABV, some alcohol could be detected. Quite nice one though. (080112)

Bottle. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is malty with notes of fresh fruits and grass. Flavour is sweet and too low on hops for the style.

Tasted 2008-02-07. Fresh bottle. Pours clear, golden yellow with white head. Aroma: grass, hops, pine cones. Flavours: A very hoppy pilsner; the malt character is very similar to a pilsner, but the finish resembles a pale ale. I like it, but this beer should be a buck a bottle - it can’t compete in it’s current price class!

Golden with a disappearing white head. Malt, apple and a hint of soap in the aroma. Sweet and fruity flavour with some bitter hop bite, but no real hop flavour.

[Shared with Henrik at newyears eve.] Got it after some highrated beers and it all went boring. Sorry!

Big offwhite head. Yellow body. Sweetish citric grassy hop aroma with soft fruity metallic notes and faint herbal hints. Dry malty grassy herbal hoppy taste with sweetish, citric notes. Faint soapiness, and some chalkiness. Dry, stinging, peppery fruity soapy aftertaste. Tastes as though it has a very light infection, but this is probably a feature and not a bug. Still nice. (0.5l bottle.)
