Bottled. A golden beer with a dense white head. The aroma is very grassy and floral hoppy - almost stinging in the nose on a light malty background - more English than American in expression. The flavor is sweet malty but not that powerful, and soon over powered by the hops giving it strong notes of flowers, spices, and some grass - again more English than American.

(On tap) Slightly hazy, deep golden with a creamy, white head. Odd yeasty nose. Fairly light in body. Dry, grapefruitish accents with some yeastiness. Quite some bitterness in the finish. 110507

Bottle. With Thisted being an old Danish brewery, I didn’t expect an American-style pale ale when I cracked this one open, but I was wrong. It poured a clear, slightly pale golde body, with a fine off-white head leaving nice lacings. The aroma was citrusy and piney on a malty backbone that was a bit too weak. There was some soapy notes as well, but they disappeared rather quickly, luckily enough. The flavor was citrusy, piney and malty with the hops dominating, but it wasn’t too bitter. Full body and a little astringency from the hops. Fruity, bitter finish. I found it a bit one-dimentional on the hoppy side, but it was quite quaffable, and even though it’s only 5.1% ABV, some alcohol could be detected. Quite nice one though. (080112)
